A little information on Crayfish
Crayfish have these body parts:
Crayfish have a bunch of swimmerets under their tail. A female uses them to hold her eggs. Now, what is the difference between male and female? Well, a female has an egg pore right under them, a male doesn't.
Its easy to pick them up, and they can't pinch you this way.

To hold a crayfish: What you do is hold them here (picture below) with one hand. Your thumb should be on one side with your index finger on the other side.
How to take care of a crayfish: Put them in a bin at least one foot long, and seven inches wide. Fill the bin with one and a half inches of mildly warm water. I put a cup cut in half in my bin, so that it has a nice and dark place for it to sleep and hide. Crayfish love the dark! I taped the cup down, so at night, the cup didn't scrape against the tank, and make noise. I feed my crayfish dry cat food or elodea. You can also feed it flaky fish food. You can find all these items at a pet store. You should clean the tank daily. If you don't, it will get very dirty, and the crayfish probably wont like it. I take my crayfish out, and dump the dirty water and old cat food down the toilet, then I rinse it out, and fill the tank with a inch and a half of the mildly warm water. Also, crayfish don't need that much attention, so you don't need to play with it. But, That doesn't mean you can't. I play with mine daily.

To make up your own name, just look at the information below.
How does your crayfish act? I named mine Queen because she always gets her way, and she acts like a queen.
Is your crayfish a boy or a girl? If its a girl, she should have a girl name, of course. The same with the boys.

Memories
I would like to take the time and tell you, if you have a bigger and stronger crayfish then another, and you did not separate them, you should. A little while ago, one of my crayfish killed the other, because it was bigger. I got another, and separated them with a piece of plastic that fit the tank.
Feeding
You can feed crayfish a couple shakes of flaky fish food a day, which is cheapest and the easiest, a piece of Elodea about 2-3 inches a day, or 2-3 pieces of cat food. The crayfish will eat all of it.
Cleaning
You should clean out the crayfish's tank every other day. If you wait even a day longer, it will be very messy and stinky. To clean, just follow these simple directions:
1. Take out the crayfish by picking them up, or scooping them up into a cup.
2. Dump out the gross water into the toilet or sink.
3. Rinse out the tub or tank.
4. Fill the tank or tub with an inch-2 inches of water.
5. Put the crayfish back in.
6. Feed it.
7. You're done!

If your crayfish molts
If your crayfish molts, it is nothing to worry about. It is just it's way of growing. Well, if you aren't sure what to do, just scoop out the shell with a cup or fish net. Throw it away, and clean out the tank. That is all you have to do.
